High Heat!, March 1, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Weber 6670001 Genesis S-330 Natural Gas Grill, Stainless Steel (Lawn & Patio) Got to use the sear burner yesterday on a steak, this grill has plenty of heat, 4 minutes a side and the steak was nicely charred. My Weber Q 200 never got that hot, but I need to wear gloves with this one. Burning off after the hood temp got to almost 700 deg.
Update to first impressions, got the 1/2" hose hooked up with a 12' extension, probably not recommended, required 1/2" gas flare to 1/2" npt adapter and a 1/2" nipple from Home Depot. I was very bad and skipped the bubble test until after firing up the grill the first time, just checked for hissing and odor before firing up the grill. Woh! 500 deg in five minutes! topped out at almost 600 deg, thank you Weber, thank you PG&E, no more propane tanks! :)
Attached the rotiserie this evening and roasted a chicken, medium low on the two outer burners mantained 350 deg pretty well, can't wait to sear some steaks and burgers... Read more

It gets up to temperature extremely quickly and does a great job of cooking. I only just put it together today, but I am very happy. The burgers I cooked tonight came out great. (don't forget to cook off for 20 minutes of so before you do your first food)
The quality of manufacture is excellent. All the holes line up and the instructions are very accurate. 4 small screws for the side burner were missing, but they are extremely common and I had some of my own that worked fine. Once put together it's a solid unit.
Note: This is a "mostly" stainless steel grill. The base is painted steel. Almost nobody makes an completely stainless these days except for very expensive units.
As others have mentioned this uses a 1/2 gas line connection. It includes the hose and quick disconnect to install to your gas line. I'm glad that they included both the male and female parts of the quick disconnect. I hate it when you may $900 for... Read more
