It burns hotter than anything else (when needed), is more easily controlled than anything else, and cleans up easier and more thoroughly than anything else. The included rotisserie works well and the rear burner cooks rotisserie-ed items perfectly.
Despite its high heat output, this grill doesn't suffer from flareups like cheaper grills - I no longer need to keep a squirt bottle handy when I'm grilling. My steaks come out seared, not charred.
The heat is even and easy to control. There are no hot spots, so I'm free to use the entire grill surface, without worrying about whether or not my food will burn. And, if I need it to cool down, the controls work great - there's a wide range of adjustment, and the knobs work linearly. I tried quesadillas on this grill and they cam out perfectly, with no burning.
