First Time Smoker, December 1, 2011 This review is from: Vertical Gas Smoker (Lawn & Patio) This is the first smoker I've owned or used. I do grill alot and love to cook in general. I purchased this smoker at Home Depot (only because it was the same price as amazon and then I get a VET. discount). The assembly was very easy took about 20 minutes or so and I had no problems following the instructions. I was missing one of the rack rails but I called Brinkman and talked with their customer service and they FEDEX'ed me one plus a spare.
Now I don't know what you expect from a grill or smoker but I never truct the thermometers that are installed on them and for good reason this one like all grills I've owned are way off or fail to work at all. This one at first looked like it wasn't going to work at all but then started working however it was about 50 degrees off (I hung an oven thermometer inside the unit). Now lets get into the operation of the unit. The burner seemed to be fairly adjustable you just have to be patient and watch what your doing also wait... Read more
